She is known as a connector and educator in the sustainability network at large, and for her can-do attitude. She has worked in various capacities from business infrastructure formation, to general coordination for various organizations and events. Currently Katrina is with Disney assisting with internal communications for the Environmental Policies and resources to aid in these activites in Burbank, CA. Katrina has a high level of enthusiasm and loves to find creative solutions to challenges.

Katrina grew up in Helena, Montana spending much of her time with the Granstreet Theater School, and outdoors. When she was 16 she started coordinating events and has been engaged in event production ever since. Katrina is passionate about localization and mapping community assets for people to collaborate more together and utilize skills locally. Katrina enjoys working with local government programs weaving organizations, citizens, and resources together in a way where everyone benefits and learns about what the community has to offer. Katrina’s foundation in community building flowered when she coordinated activities and events with the City Repair Project in Portland, OR. from 1999-2005, which she has helped to expand nationally.

Most recently Katrina was the Regional Directo for the San Francisco Green Festival, programing speakers, panels, and activities for more than 35,000 participants for a 2 day event featuring everything green under the sun.
Prior to Green Festival Katrina served as the program development director for the Solar Fair in Santa Rosa, CA. She coordinated the bilingual green jobs zone with an assemblymember, local organizations, as well as the Pathway to Clean Energy, Finance Zone, and other educational programs of the fair. In the Winter 2010 Katrina founded a training program for business consultants to integrate sustainability into their consulting practice in San Francisco, CA in efforts to expand ecological and social awareness throughout the business culture. She was the lead for research and development with the Urban Alliance for Sustainability in mapping the ecology of the sustainability movement of 200+ organizations in the Bay Area. At the same time, Katrina was the co-chair of the Built Environment action team for the HOPE Collaborative in Oakland, CA, a large coalition of many organizations sponsored by the Kellogg Foundation Food and Fitness Initiative. The program focused on disparate communities to provide access to affordable, healthy locally grown food, and opportunities to be physically active and play. When she was on-board the built environment team was leading the national plans through an asset mapping process that included community listening and engagement sessions to bring more voices into the room for creating vibrant communities.

Katrina loves to dance and is an artist at heart.
